Last drinks for motorcycle club?

Posted on November 30, 2009 | Filed Under Biker News | Comments Off

ANTI-BIKIE laws have come to bear on a Murray Bridge motorcycle group in what the club is calling an attack on its reputation.

The Murray Bridge chapter of the Longriders Christian Motorcycle Club claims it was told it would be denied a limited liquor licence for a regular open night on November 13 because the application had been received late and because the Longriders had associated with outlaw bikies at a poker run earlier this year.

Stand for Something or Fall for Anything

An interesting article by a full patch member of God's Squad CMC relating his experience of being arrested (wrongfully) and his subsequent aquittal.

It's really quite frightening what happened to him and the "powers" the police were able to use.

You can read the article on the United Motorcycle Council NSW web site.

What The Crime fighters say

Statement by Mark Le Grand on the Proposed Criminal Organisations Bill

The proposed bikie gang laws in Queensland are deeply concerning on two bases, first, the proposed laws would lead to the abrogation of basic legal rights which have been central to the operation of the common law for hundreds of years, including the fundamental right to a fair trial, and second, that there is little evidence that these laws are required in Queensland or that they are likely to be effective.

Hells Angel Finds God at the
Bottom of Bottle of Booze

For most of his years, Richie Kane struggled through a living hell of physical and sexual abuse, alcoholism and membership in one of the most notorious gangs in the country.

But now this former Hells Angel is empowered with a new force. Kane has chronicled his journey to a better life in a self-published book called "The Bronx Street Kid: Into 12-Step Recovery." He sees it as a way for him to pass on the hope he has now embraced.

"God has been so kind to me," he says, "allowed me the strength to come back."

Brylcreem and white silk scarves

Posted on November 19, 2009 | Filed Under Biker News | Comments Off

Nice vid from YouTube about the Cafe Racer scene. It's been about for a while but worth another look.

The Bikes...The Beat...The Burn-ups... Tritons, Norvins & Goldies. Lewis Leathers, Levi blue Jeans and a white silk scarf. Leather Boys, Ton-Up Kids & Coffee Bar Cowboys. Southend, Brighton and everyone back to the Ace. British beat on the jukebox, the smell of Castrol 'R' and a big steaming mug of tea.

You can almost smell the Brylcreem

Germany’s Biker Churches grow popular

Posted on November 18, 2009 | Filed Under Biker News | Comments Off

Germany's biker scene has been in the news a lot lately, and not in a good way. But there's another group of bikers in Germany who get less press - the ones who ride to church instead of to the clubhouse.

Biker Church services certainly aren't conventional. In October, one of them took place in a barn in the middle of a cow pasture an hour outside of Cologne, Germany. Dozens and dozens of motorbikes were parked in the muddy field outside; instead of getting a Bible pressed in their hands when they arrived, congregants were given a block of wood to put under their kickstands.

I’m quite chuffed actually.

For over a year now I've been on the lookout for a decent Harley Street Bob. After looking at many bikes I finally found the one I was searching for via a friend of a friend. It's a 2006 FXDBI with only 2100 miles on the clock.

Roaring engines, recovery at Abilene church event

Posted on November 11, 2009 | Filed Under Biker News | Comments Off

When Bishop Rob Nichols entered the sanctuary at the Church on the Rock Sunday, he made a grand entrance — on a motorcycle.

And that is the way he has been greeting his congregation for the past nine years, during the annual Biker Sunday event.

The Church on the Rock of Abilene is a unique congregation, made up of people who have gone through rough times such as addictions or are trying to get their lives together after prison.

Old School Harley Knucklehead Bobber

Posted on November 1, 2009 | Filed Under Biker News | Comments Off

Our intended visit to Bath didn't happen, we decided to visit Salisbury instead. This turned out to be a good decision as we wouldn't have had enough time to see Bath properly.

Salisbury is a lovely city with a nice feel about it. On the Saturday after a few more hours in Salisbury we headed towards the New Forest and in a small village called Downton we discovered BurnOut Bikes. Parked outside was a very nice FXR but the real delights were inside. They have just finished a Knucklehead Bobber ready for a show in Holland next week. Seems I beat Back Street Hero's to some pictures as it will be featured in the said mag in a future issue!

Original frame was modified, not your usual after market job.
