Australia’s Anti-Association Laws
Posted on August 6, 2009 | Filed Under Biker News | Comments Off
The newly introduced “Anti-Association Laws” in New South Wales, Australia have been described as draconian and unfair. The law, while not directly naming bikers, has been introduced to combat the perceived threat of “Outlaw” bike clubs on society. Basically if you’re a member of a patch club the police can apply to the courts for an order to ban members from associating with one another. Break this law and you face up to five years in prison! The laws came into effect in April allowing the state's police commissioner to apply to the courts for the declaration of specific bikie clubs as illegal.

Windows 7 64bit – First impressions
Posted on June 2, 2009 | Filed Under News - Gossip | Comments Off
After the success I had installing the 32bit version of Windows 7, I thought I'd give the 64bit version a try.
Installation of the 64bit version and the same programmes I'd installed in the 32bit version was problem free.
Not much more to say as the only difference seems to be the extra memory that windows recognises. Another plus is programmes like Photoshop load faster.
I'm beginning to quite like Windows 7 and so far I've not had the networking problems that caused me to ditch Vista. If the current stability continues I'll upgrade to 8Gb of ram.

Wycombe Wanderers Clinch Promotion
Posted on May 3, 2009 | Filed Under News - Gossip | Comments Off
Wycombe Wanderers. my home town football club won promotion today from the English Division 2 to Division 1.
They're called "The Chairboys" because the town of High Wycombe was once famous for chair manufacture, we even have our very own Chair Museum.
Despite Wycombe losing 2-1 to Notts County FC on the day, we gained the final automatic promotion spot on goal difference.

Give Up Yer Aul Sins

Based on the original recordings taken by Peig Cunningham in Dublin schoolrooms from the 1960′s, (subsequently re-discovered and released by EMI record) this film dramatises the event as a TV crew arrive to record the children and we are treated to the story of John the Baptist told as only children can. It received an Academy Award nomination for Best Animated Short at the 2001 Oscars.
Give Up Yer Aul Sins is the brainchild of Brown Bag Films who have won international acclaim for their work.
What does Easter mean to you?
Posted on April 15, 2009 | Filed Under God Stuff | Comments Off
The Crucifixion story of Easter invokes many different reactions from people nowadays, indifference, worship, scorn or horror at a barbaric act. But what about the people who actually witnessed it?
Their was Mary, Jesus’ mother, watching not a savior but a beloved son cruelly dying.
The soldiers who carried out the crucifixion and cast lots for his cloths had already beaten and mocked Him had seen it a hundred times before and were probably indifferent, it was just another job.
The religious leaders who had raised false charges against Jesus would be pleased they had (or so they thought) rid themselves of this blasphemer who had dared to break their religious rules.
The two thieves who were crucified with Jesus had very different reactions. One mocked: One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at him: "Aren't you the Christ? Save yourself and us!" While the other asked "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom". Luke 23:39-42
What was Jesus' reaction? To those who mocked he said: "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing". Luke 23:34. To the thief’s question he answered: "I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise". Luke 23:43.
There is no middle ground with Jesus, no sitting on the fence. In His own words to one of the churches: "Since you are lukewarm and neither hot nor cold, I am going to spit you out of my mouth". Revelation 3:16.
So what is your reaction to Easter and Jesus? Hot, cold or luke warm?

Harley Davidson furniture range

Harley Davidson have teamed up with Classic Leather and introduced a range of furniture. Evan without the Harley logo I think it would look impressive.
If I were a British MP I'd have the complete range in my triple garage and claim it all on expenses!
For more details and to see the complete range, visit the Classic Leather web site.

Windows 7 32bit Release Candidate – First Impressions
Posted on February 5, 2009 | Filed Under News - Gossip | Comments Off
I downloaded and installed the Release Candidate of Windows 7 a few days ago and here are some early thoughts. This is not an exhaustive technical review more a quick first impression.
Once I'd burned the iso to disk the install was a breeze. I installed it on a back up disk expecting all the data to be lost, no so, Windows 7 didn't ask to format the disk and left all the files intact.
