To cut through or into so as to divide

Is one of the definitions I found for "Intersected", which is a very cool name for a web site. It also happens to be very well designed, minimal, clean and very easy on the eyes. Considering what passes for "minimal" in some web galleries I'm supprised it's not been featured more.

There are a large number of web site galleries out their, CSS, Flash, Minimal, blog etc and many web design award sites. After extensive research (2 minutes on Google) I couldn't find any showcases/galleries/awards for web sites with huge logos/headers so I thought I'd give some recognition to this sadly neglected art.

What I was looking for was a clean and uncluttered minimal design and of course a HUGE logo. These three sites fitted the bill. I'm particularly impressed with Finch, the more you look the more you see how well thought out this site is. I love the Blog logo, the splash of blue really makes it work for me. While Chunk's use of border collapse works well with their design.

Keep an eye out for the next round of "Mutated Awards" which will feature the best of the best of Error 404 "Page not found" web sites.
